Glass Sculpture @ The National Maritime Museum |

Adverse Rigging recently undertook the hanging of a large glass sculpture, by famous artist Rosie Leventon, at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.
The sculpture ‘Absentee’ represents the form of a ship and is hung in the queens building in pride of place just above the famous J.M Turner Battle Of Trafalgar painting.
It is hung from a powder-coated frame built by our fabricators and can be lowered using a demountable winch system in order for regular cleaning.
Adverse Rigging is no stranger to the museum having hung three 50m x 6m shades in the main building and we currently await the hanging of a Mars space probe in the famous Geenwich observatory.
“Responding sensitively to the hanging of a large
glass structure, Adverse Rigging developed an extremely successful solution
that was implemented effectively and swiftly”
